Now, that was only an illustration and even though, we cannot completely equate football club management with school management, here’s the intersection, even though arsenal was not winning trophies at the time, there’s something else its fans enjoyed – good football play. Arsenal does that tip tap play almost better than any other team then, and its fans seem to be satisfied with that.

Now, ‘DELIGHT’ is the word. To create raving fans out of your parents, you need to delight them. Let me tell you something interesting. You may think the only thing that delights parents is their children’s academic performance. “Oh, the children are so brilliant”. That’s true, but not entirely. I know parents who are so delighted in their children’s school that they simply employed costly teachers for key subjects as home teachers to augment whatever they learn in school. Some parents pay more money to home teachers than school fees. Yet if you suggest to them to change their children’s school, they’d simply ignore you. There’s certainly something else that delights them. We’ll look at a few of them on Saturday.
